  50. Announcing Network SuperVisor™ version 1.0.6

  52. Pittsburgh, PA., April 10, 1991 - The CSG Technologies division
  53. of Management Science Associates, Inc., today announced an upgrade to their
  54. Network SuperVisor™ network information tool.
  55.  
  56. Network SuperVisor is designed to help network administrators manage their
  57. networks more efficiently by allowing them to query each Macintosh on the
  58. network for complete hardware and software configuration information.  Network
  59. SuperVisor can retrieve system configuration, operating system, SCSI, NuBus,
  60. PRAM, Application, DA, FONT, and INIT (System Extension) information.  All
  61. information is returned in real time, without any user interaction, across any
  62. AppleTalk network – even through zones, bridges, and gateways.  In addition,
  63. users can create and display "live" network schematics and floorplans which
  64. show the status of every device on the network, including printers, routers,
  65. mainframes, even DOS machines.

  67. This maintenance release of Network SuperVisor includes these enhancements:

  69. •  Self Scan - Managers can now scan their own Macintosh
  70.  
  71. •  Ethernet Addresses are now returned in the NuBus scan
  72.  
  73. •  Remote Responder Updating - Managers can now update users' Responder INITs
  74. remotely

  76. •  Unlimited Scanning - Managers can now scan as many machines as they like
  77.  
  78. •  Public/Private feature now works on Phase 1 and Phase 2 networks

  80. •  Public/Private feature now supports user-enterable codes

  82. •  Increased compatibility with non-Apple routers

  84. •  Support for new pricing - 25, 50, 75, and unlimited saving versions are now
  85. being offered
